Black Mirror: Bandersnatch - The Flashback Theory is the idea that once you watch the movie to a certain point you will begin to see flashbacks after making choices. I've discovered when making certain choices I will get a flashback that leads me to believe that the choice I made was the wrong choice.

The idea is if you watch the movie and make certain choices you will unlock hidden scenes or golden eggs. I found that when replaying certain choices that flashbacks told me were wrong, I did not get a flashback. This leads me to believe that the flashbacks are telling you which of your selections are incorrect.

Just as Colin says while tripping on LSD that flashbacks are an opportunity to go back and make different choices. Therefore, I believe that these flashbacks that are happening are clues to guide you down the right path to unlock hidden scenes or golden eggs.
